A deep red crossbody in vegetable-tanned leather. The piece you reach for when the rest of the outfit is quiet.

The material

Vegetable-tanned leather, worked slowly with bark tannins instead of chrome. It arrives firm and loosens with wear, and the red deepens as it picks up light and handling. The bag you carry for a year does not look like the one that left the bench.

How it is made

Around 40 hours of handwork per bag, by one maker rather than a production line. The hardware is custom brushed brass, made for GENA and used on nothing else.

Wearing it

Against black, charcoal or olive it does all the work on its own. Keep the rest of the outfit plain and let the bag be the only colour in it.
